The Acid House DVD Report

In the Acid House, we learn that God moves in mysterious, and perhaps spiteful, ways! This is a trio of tales adapted from short stories by Irvine Welsh;

The Granton Star Cause
is about a layabout, Boab Coyle (Stephen McCole), who is dropped from his pub football team, thrown out of his parents house, ditched by his girlfriend, arrested, and fired from his job, all on the same day. Just as things can't get any worse, he runs into God (Maurice Roeves), who turns him into a fly...

In Soft Touch, Johnny (Kevin McKidd) marries the sluttish Catriona (Michelle Gomez), who neglects her baby and takes up with the lout upstairs (Gary McCormack) the minute Johnnys back is turned.

In The Acid House, Coco (Ewan Bremner), a raver, is having a bad trip, at the same moment Tom is being born to middle-class couple Rory (Martin Clunes) and Jenny (Jemma Redgrave) in the middle of a storm, due to a freak accident, Coco swaps bodies with baby Tom, and Jenny becomes the mother to a swearing baby!

This is the second time I have seen The Acid House, and it seems a much worse movie the second time around, and I loved Trainspotting! I found it rather boring and I wanted it to end!

Here is the trailer...
