The DVD claims Hillside Cannibals is based on the true story of the Sawney Bean clan, that inspired The Hills Have Eyes, however its a 400 year old Scottish legend, and no-one knows if its really true.
The plot is simple, a bunch of young people in an isolated place, some inbred cave-dwellers, and a confrontation that ends in a great deal of torture, bloodshed and cannibalism. I really can't say much more, thats about it.
The movie reminds me of the 1980s video nasties, with little plot and lots of gore. The acting is poor, little dialogue (mainly grunts), and the effects are OK but nothing special. Overall avoid Hillside Cannibals, unless you like this kind of movie!
