In The Contractor, James Dial (Wesley Snipes), a retired retired marksman, lives a secluded life on his ranch in Montana, but is haunted by his failure to kill one of the worlds most notorious terrorists.
When approached to finish the job in London, where the terrorist leader has been captured, he accepts, but a routine mission turns into a nightmare, as Dial is forced into hiding and is pursued by the British police, led by Chief Inspector Andrew Windsor (Charles Dance). When Dial is framed for Windsors murder, he realises he has been double-crossed. Dials only hope for salvation is a 12-year-old girl whom he reluctantly befriends as he desperately searches to find the real killer and the truth behind his betrayal.
The Contractor is an odd movie, its set in London, but despite set dressing with red double-decker busses, English post-boxes and phone booths, its clearly not the UK, we don't have that much graffiti for a start! Its not that bad a movie, its just not that good a movie either, just as it gets good, it slows down again too! OK if your at a loose end!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
