In Man on Fire, John Creasy (Denzel Washington), a former assassin is hired to protect a nine year Pita Ramos (Dakota Fanning), due to the wave of kidnappings in Mexico. Creasy, who initially is unable to put up with the girl, starts to feel close to Pita and after having no reason to live, forms the equivalent of a father-daughter relationship with her, and starts feeling good again.
The Ramos family and Creasys worlds are crushed when Pita is kidnapped, and trying to free her leaves Creasy for dead. Creasy then goes on a mission to kill anyone who was involved in or benefits from her abduction!
Man on Fire is a pretty good movie, the first hour is building the relationship between Creasy and Pita, the rest is revenge, and he really goes at it like a Man on Fire! Recommended!
