eXistenZ DVD Report

I watched this movie a few years ago, I always enjoy David Cronenberg movies, so does it hold up nine years on?

Allegra Geller (Jennifer Jason Leigh) is the greatest game designer in the world and is testing her latest virtual reality game, eXistenZ, with a focus group in a large hall. The game is fully immersive, to play, players must plug a pod, a bio-organic gaming device, into a bio-port near the bottom of the spine.

IMHO its started to look a bit dated, the overall look and feel of it reminded me of the 1990s (and quite correctly!). I enjoyed the movie, but how much longer will this stand up?
