Dads Army Series 7 DVD Report

Its 1940 and Britain is on the alert for an imminent Nazi invasion. With full-time troops occupied overseas, the coastal defences are left to a handful of veteran soldiers – The Home Guard. And in Walmington-on-Sea, one inept, feeble and inadequately armed platoon is very keen to do its bit. Led by the self-appointed former bank manager Captain Mainwaring, whose irritating pomposity riles the troops, the Walmington-on-Sea Home Guard are a disruptive troop.

Second in command, Sergeant Wilson, has the breeding Mainwaring lacks but is largely ineffectual. Corporal Jones, the local butcher and veteran of the Boer War, tempers his eagerness with an infallible ability to comprehensively mess up anything he is asked to do and Private Pike is everybody's favourite mummy's boy.

I was pleased to get this DVD, however on watching it I realised that Dads Army is funny in small doses but irritating if you watch all episodes back to back! Here is the episode guide.

Here are the titles...
