Dawn Of The Living Dead (AKA Curse Of The Maya) DVD Report
In Dawn of The Living Dead, a married couple move to a secluded house in the desert. Jeffrey (Joe Estevez) and Renee (Amanda Baumann) are hoping for a rest, especially as Renee has just been released from two and a half years in a mental hospital. Due to bad planning by the builders, the house is built on a Mayan graveyard, Renee starts having visions of the undead but no one believes her - except Mike (David Heavener), the mysterious wind turbine repairman.
This movie was formerly called Curse of the Maya, the production values are adequate and the gore effects average to good. Thankfully, Heavener has injected a sense of humor into the film too.
The clip below is the undead baby, totally hilarious, you just have to watch it (non-zombie fans may fail to see whats funny though). Not a bad movie, providing you like the genre!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
