Boogeyman DVD Report

In Boogeyman, when Tim Jensen (Barry Watson) was a boy, his dad told him about the boogeyman, who Tim then believed was in his closet, then one dark night the boogeyman took his father. Tims mom (Lucy Lawless), convinced that her husband had abandoned his family, never got over the shock and Tim spends years in therapy, being assured the boogeyman doesn't exist.

15 years later, closet-phobic Tims Thanksgiving weekend with his rich girlfriend Jessicas (Tory Mussett) family is rudely interrupted by a nightmare about his mother, followed by his uncle phoning to say shes just died, Tim rushes home for the funeral.

Tim decides to face his fears and spend the night in the desolate family home, which is where it gets pretty dull! The first 40 minutes where OK, the next 25 are very much repetition, and boring, the special effects in the last five minutes are good though! Overall - avoid Boogeyman!
