In Lucky Number Slevin we meet Slevin Kelevra (Josh Hartnett) who takes off for New York to stay with an old buddy, after losing his job, finding his apartment condemned and catching his girlfriend in bed with another man - but on arrival gets mugged and is threatened by a couple of gangsters who think he is someone else, in the belief he owes their boss (Morgan Freeman) money.
His protests of mistaken identity fall on deaf ears and Slevin is forced to take a job, whacking the son of The Rabbi (Ben Kinglsey), Freemans sworn enemy. Then the Rabbi wants to see him...
And here gets complicated, very complicated! Lucky Number Slevin is an amazing movie, you can't guess the ending, or the middle, or even what happens next! The dialogue reminds you of Quentin Tarantino at his very best, if fact if the movie was ten years old it could pass as a Tarantino flick, its that good! The ending has twists, and the twists have more twists! Watch this movie!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
