The junkie-gambler Bob (Nick Nolte) is the titular good thief - a crook and a criminal, but one who draws a distinct line of things he will not do, the classic anti-hero, a gentleman swindler that you would almost forgive for taking your money.
Bob assembles a crack team of thieves and weirdoes to pull off a complicated heist at a casino, stealing art rather than money. Neil Jordan fills the screen with his typical assortment of conflicted souls (and yes, manages to get transsexual in there!). The Good Thief is a good movie, defiantly different, but still interesting!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
