In the Hitcher, its a rainy night, two college students, Jim Halsey (Zachary Knighton) and Grace Andrews (Sophia Bush), are driving across the country and pick up a hitchhiker after almost running him down. The man, John Ryder (Sean Bean), seems harmless enough at first, but soon turns out to be psychotic. After the couple barely escape with their lives, the real trouble begins.
Ryder goes on a killing spree, and ensures he frames the couple in the process. Now they are not only Ryders prey, but fugitives wanted for murder. They must stop Ryders psychopathic rampage and prove their innocence too!
The Hitcher is an odd movie, the original was good, this one had so much potential, the brilliant Sean Bean, great scenery, and a gorefest to boot, but something was missing, perhaps the plot was too linear? Overall there are worse ways of killing 80 minutes, but many better ways too!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
