Robert Buddy Aces Israel (Jeremy Piven) is the man at the center of Smokin Aces, he is a former Vegas performer who is holed up in the penthouse suite of a Lake Tahoe casino, after half the planet seem to want him dead. Israels alliances with the mob appear to have caused problems, and they have put a $1 million bounty on his head.
However Special Agent Richard Messner (Ryan Reynolds) and Special Agent Donald Carruthers (Ray Liotta) along with their boss Assistant Director Stanley Locke (Andy Garcia) want him alive. Theres an obscene amount of guns, blood, explosions and violence as the movie thunders from one explosive scene to the next.
Smokin Aces is a great movie, its non stop mayhem! Even the dead are not quite dead, so they manage to kill someone else, theres always more shooting to do, and more gore than an explosion in a blood bank! Fantastic!
