9 Songs DVD Report

AKA: Nine Songs - Print: Good - Sound: Good - Label: Optimum Home - Cover: OK - Format: 1.85:1 - Length: 1h06m/1h06m - Before: No - Again: No - Price: £1 - Rating: 3/10.

In 9 Songs, from his current post in Antarctica, British glaciologist Matt (Kieran O'Brien), recalls how he met Lisa (Margo Stilley), a 21-year-old American student and had a lot of sex with her, and went out, generally to to rock concerts.

The nine songs of the title are Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Whatever Happened to My Rock and Roll, The Von Bondies - C'mon, C'mon, Elbow -Fallen Angel, Primal Scream - Movin' On Up, Dandy Warhols - You Were the Last High, Super Furry Animals - Slow Life, Franz Ferdinand - Jacqueline, Michael Nyman - Nadia, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (again) - Love Burns. Be warned though, they are generally blurry, hand-held digital video recordings from the audience!

Overall 9 Songs received mixed reviews (generally bad), I think its an awful movie, very little plot, and if it wasn't for the bad concert footage, would receive a zero! It is thankfully very short, overall avoid like the plague!
