In Boiler Room. Seth Davis (Giovanni Ribisi), an ambitious college dropout who runs an illegal casino in his apartment, is eager to show his father he can succeed, so gets a job with a small stock brokerage firm.
Given a space in the companys boiler room, he makes cold calls to prospective clients, Seth has a genuine talent for this, which gets the approval of his superiors, and the attentions of one of his co-workers, Abby Hilliard (Nia Long). The higher Seth rises, the deeper he finds he is sinking with dirty dealings, until he finds he is breaking the law to keep his paychecks coming.
Boiler Room is quite a good movie, not great, but enjoyable, Ben Affleck has a cameo and Vin Diesel also stars.
