Shooter is based on the book Point of Impact by Stephen Hunter, about Bob Lee Swagger (Mark Wahlberg), a former Marine scout sniper, who has retired to a cabin in the woods after being standard in enemy territory in Ethiopia by the US army, when a mission goes wrong.
Three years later, Colonel Isaac Johnson (Danny Glover) tracks him down, trying to convince Swagger to help them stop a plot to assassinate the president. Honour and duty get the better of Swagger, and he agrees to participate, only to be set up, sending him on the run to discover who was really behind shooting the President.
Shooter is a great movie, edge of the seat, and unpredictable, Swagger is a Rambo for the millennium :) Recommended!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
