The Toolbox Murders 1978 DVD Report

Print: Possibly From VHS - Sound: OK - Label: Vipco - Cover: OK - Format: 16:9 - Length: 1h30m/1h30m - Before: No - Again: No - Price: 50p - Rating: 4/10.

The Toolbox Murders begins with 20 minutes of murdering people with tools from a toolbox, to the sound of country and western music, which I found amusing! But this is pretty dull, then it moves onto 1970s TV movie-style detective story, and finally to its dull conclusion.

This is an uncut print, how this got banned and branded a video nasty is beyond me (I suspect the tabloids where to blame?), the murderer in a ski-mask isn't even menacing, theres a lot of blood, but little gore. Tobe Hooper has remade The Toolbox Murders a few years ago, I'd like to see this, to see if they do the legend justice, as this is dull! Avoid it like a toolbox Murderer!

Here is the trailer...
