In Dark Blue we meet Eldon Perry (Kurt Russell), a member of the Los Angeles Police Departments Special Investigations Squad (SIS). Veteran Perry is no stranger to violence on the streets and tough decisions that come with it and he rarely questions the orders given by his boss, Jack Van Meter (Brendan Gleeson).
But when Van Meters nephew, Bobby Keogh (Scott Speedman) joins SIS and becomes Perrys partner, the stakes are raised. Keogh, who idolizes both his uncle and Perry, is eager to prove himself. but the naive rookie has no idea how deep the corruption in the department runs.
Dark Blue isn't a bad movie, but I didn't think it was very suited to the normally unbalanced and psychotic Kurt Russell, who drew me to the movie in the first place! Its still worth seeing though!
