The History Boys is based on Alan Bennetts play of the same name and stars the original stage cast. Set in a Sheffield Grammar school in the mid-1980s, the Headmaster, Felix (Clive Merrison), is desperately trying to send boys to Oxford and Cambridge Universities. He enlists the help of a supply teacher, Irwin (Stephen Campbell Moore), to coach his brightest pupils into shape for the entrance exam, but the boys are torn by their loyalty to the eccentric, poetry-spouting English master Hector (Richard Griffiths).
As they prepare for exams and admissions, the boys journey becomes a reflection on how the education system works and where it leads!
The History Boys is a really great movie, entertaining, funny, and clever! Essential viewing!
