In We Own The Night, brothers Joseph (Mark Wahlberg) and Bobby Grusinsky (Joaquin Phoenix) inhabit two conflicting worlds that are about to collinde, in late 1980s New York. Joseph has become a cop like his father, and Bobby runs a nightclub, spending his evenings, indulging in drugs, alcohol, and gambling, with his girlfriend Amada (Eva Mendes).
The father of the two men, Burt (Robert Duvall) and Joseph ask Bobby for information about a patron of his club, named Vadim (Alex Veadov), the nephew of the clubs owner, and dangerous member of the Russian criminal underworld. Bobby sides with Vadim at first, but events in the movie sees Bobby thing about has family ties.
We Own The Night isn't too bad, but I've seen a lot better, and Wahlberg has been in some :) But its worth seeing!
