The world was watching the 1972 Olympic games, when as 11 Israeli athletes were murdered by terrorists. Munich is the story of what happens next!
In Israel, Avner Kaufman (Eric Bana) is deeply in love with his pregnant wife, but domestic bliss is short-lived, following the Black September attack in the Munich Olympic village, Avner is summoned by his countrys secret service agency, Mossad, to carry out violent retaliations against those Palestinian terrorists allegedly behind the massacre.
Commanded from afar by government agent Ephraim (Geoffrey Rush), Avner and his team of men, South African Steve (Daniel Craig), ex-toy maker Robert (Matthieu Kassovitz), morally conflicted Carl (Ciaran Hinds) and professional Hans (Hanns Zischler), must deal with some shady international figures as they track down their Palestinian prey. Their mission takes them from the villas of Rome to a seedy hotel in Cyprus and with each successful kill, Avners will begins to break, as guilt and doubt begin to take hold of his conscience.
Munich is a great movie, tense and well worth seeing!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
