In Devils Advocate, attorney Kevin Lomax (Keanu Reeves) doesn't heed the warnings of his mother, Alice Lomax (Judith Ivey), who views New York City as the dwelling place of demons. Instead, he leaves Gainesville, Florida, with his wife Mary Ann (Charlize Theron) to put his legal skills to work at a leading Manhattan law firm run by John Milton (Al Pacino). Milton, puts Kevin on a $400-per-hour salary, and moves the couple into a luxurious apartment in his own building on Fifth Avenue, where Mary Ann falls under the influence of neighbour Jackie Heath (Tamara Tunie).
But after Kevin defends a weird animal sacrificer and wins, he moves to defending a triple murderer, real-estate tycoon Alexander Cullen (Craig T Nelson). Meanwhile the troubled Mary Ann is ignored by Kevin and has some disturbing experiences, verging on the occult. Kevin becomes attracted to fellow Lawyer Christabella Andreoli (Connie Neilsen).
Devils Advocate is a very good movie, how I initially overlooked it, I don't know, but I'm pleased I have seen it now!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
