In The Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift, Shawn Boswell (Lucas Black), is a fearless racing rebel with a need for speed. After a thrilling opening race through a construction site in Boswells hometown, that almost kills all involved, Shawn is sent to his fathers home in Tokyo. Shawn enters Japans underground racing culture where schoolgirls and tough guy Yakuza types dance in multi-tiered parking lots filled with stylish custom vehicles.
He quickly adapts to his new surroundings gaining a best friend, Twinkle (Bow Wow), a love interest Neela (Nathalie Kelly), and an enemy Takashi/Drift King (Brian Tee), whose gangster uncle, Kamata (Sonny Chiba), runs Tokyo.
The Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift has little to do with the previous 2 movies, except for a 2 minute cameo at the end, but its still pretty good, but not as good as its predecessors!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
