Number One, a gritty British movie follows a snooker hall hustler Harry Flash Gordon (Bob Geldof) trying to survive in the world of snooker halls, small-time crooks, hookers and corrupt cops.
Billy Evans (Mel Smith) wants to make him a star, and gets Flash into playing professional snooker, but can Flash control his temper? Will he outwit the two bent coppers on his case? Or the other snooker hustlers?
Number One isn't bad, and has a star studded UK cast too, but falls apart in many places. OK if your at a loose end!
