In The Jacket, its 1991, Jack Starks (Adrien Brody) is a US soldier serving in the Gulf, but in a firefight is shot in the head and pronounced dead - but Starks returns to life.
A year later, Starks is walking to his family home through the snowy landscape of Vermont and discovers a broken down truck. He helps the women and her daughter by starting it, then flags down a ride into town. But the driver is on the run, and its not long before the car is cornered by police. Starks memory goes blank, when he comes to, Sparks is accused of killing a patrol-man, and ends up in a mental home, where he discovers he can travel into the future and has only 4 days to live!
A totally bizarre scenario, but The Jacket a very good movie, you don't see events coming and is thoroughly enjoyable. Reccomended!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
