In Reindeer Games, Rudy Duncan (Ben Affleck) is a car thief about to be released from jail in time for Christmas, his cellmate, Nick Cassidy (James Frain), is suddenly murdered, so Rudy takes on his identity in order to meet Nicks beautiful pen-pal girlfriend, Ashley (Charlize Theron).
The couple have fun until her psychotic brother, Gabriel (Gary Sinise), shows up with his gang and want to hold up a casino where Nick had once worked and blackmail Rudy/Nick into helping them. Rudy has to bluff his way through the crime, pretending to be Nick in order to avoid being killed, while trying to sabotage the plans of the bad guys. Will Rudy outsmart the crooks, or end up facedown in the snow?
Reindeer Games isn't a bad movie and has a great ending. the first hour needs tightening up though. Its still worth seeing!
