In Species. scientists receive an alien transmission, containing alien DNA, so they grow and alien, and it escapes. A team of skilled personnel is put together to track it down.

In Species 2, an astronaut goes into space and is impregnated by one of the aliens from the first movie, then he comes back to Earth.

In Species 3, a scientist attempts to grow more of the aliens.

Species is a good movie, Species 2 is nearly as good, but Species 3 is poor when compared by its predecessors, its very slow in general and would benefit for losing 30 minutes to the cutting-room floor!
