In The Cooler, the unluckiest man on the planet, Bernie Lootz (William H Macy), is a cooler at a casino, his presence can chill the hot streak of any patron! He is valued by the old-school manager, Shelly Kaplow (Alec Baldwin), but then Bernies son turns up to scrounge money, and is caught cheating by Shelly.
Bernies girlfriend, Natalie Belisario (Maria Bello), is a fake, put there by Shelly in hope it stops Bernie quitting, but then Bernies luck begins to change. How will Shelly take this?
The Cooler is a pretty good idea, a but slow in places but OK overall!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
