Until the end of Joseph Ruben's spooky suspense thriller The Forgotten, you will question whos who in the us-versus-them conundrum. We have just one hint It's not about the children.
But as local police, the feds, and other unknowns follow Telly (Julianne Moore), a young mother who refuses to forget the death of her 9-year-old son, Sam, its clear that the children are the key. While its fishy enough that nobody - not even Telly's own husband (Anthony Edwards) - seems to remember Sam, and the plane crash she claims killed him, which is no-longer reported in the newspapers where it had been, its a question of whose story do you believe.
But Telly finds another parent, Ash (Dominic West), whose daughter died in the same accident, together they have to flee through the damp alleyways beneath the Brooklyn Bridge, somebody knows something about the children, and they want Ash and Telly to forget. The Forgotten springs into an action-adventure race for the truth, with a surprising special effect thats worth the wait.
The Forgotten is a great movie, at last alien abduction handled in a new and interesting way! And to think I almost didn't watch this, I'm so pleased I did!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
