In Kiss of Death, ex-convict Jimmy Kilmartin (David Caruso) is attempting to distance himself from his past, but his cousin, Ronny Gannon (Michael Rapaport), begs for his help on one more job, and Jimmy reluctantly agrees to help. The police arrive, a detective is shot, and Jimmy is left to take the fall.
Jimmys hope for a normal life with his wife (Helen Hunt) and daughter disappear, as he becomes an agent of the police, in an attempt to bring down the psychotic gangster, Little Junior (Nicolas Cage). Calvin Hart (Samuel L Jackson), the cop that was shot, is assigned to oversee all.
Kiss of Death isn't a bad movie, you really feel the desperation of Jimmy as life gets worse and worse for him, moving like an express train to the inevitable climax! Good story, recommended!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
