In Volcano, an earthquake triggers a giant burst of lava from the La Brea Tar Pits, sending lava over Los Angeles neighborhoods and causing magma mayhem!
Dedicated Emergency Management director Mike Roark (Tommy Lee Jones) rushes to the rescue, with help from a plucky seismologist Doctor Amy Barnes (Anne Heche). A no-holds-barred cataclysmic extravaganza follows, complete with lava bombs bursting in air and the straight-faced Hollywood how-will-we-stop-it? of disaster epics.
However, after watching Supervolcano, about what would really happen, Volcano becomes a very silly movie! Total fantasy, but still an entertaining romp.
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
