Boy Eats Girl is a take on a zombie invasion, the storyline is a bit weak and the love story between the two main characters was a bit average. Nothing zombie-related happened for the first 25 minutes and at 75 minutes it was all over, but thats teen movies for you I suppose!
But when it started, the amount of gore that definitely deserves a comment, the comic tractor scene the best I've seen in a zombie movie for a long time! As a pop star, Samantha Mumba is a reasonable actress, which surprised me!
Boy Eats Girl was the first non-pornographic movie for some years to be banned by the Irish Film Censor's Office, due to a depiction of suicide.
I wouldn't go out of my way to watch Boy Eats Girl, in fact I'd think twice about using the energy to get the DVD out of the case and into the DVD player!
