The Wedding Tackle is set over a stag night for the wedding of Hal (James Purefoy) and Vinni (Susan Vidler). Hal is a womaniser and has cold feet about his wedding, with the help of a friend, a cartoonist called Little Ted (Tony Slattery), he cooks up a plan for another pal, swimming coach Mr Mac (Adrian Dunbar), to seduce Vinni, get caught, and relieve Hal of his impending marriage.
But Little Ted still carries a torch for for Vinni, who he foolishly encouraged into dumping him, and convinces Mr Macs girlfriend, barmaid Petula (Amanda Redman), into posing for some dodgy Polaroids of her and Hal, but Petulas husband George (Leslie Grantham), is getting suspicious. Vinnis best friend Cloudah (Victoria Smurfitt) slept with Hal a couple of days ago, and Vinni has her own reservations about the wedding, yes its complicated, and a comedy of errors!
The Wedding Tackle is English, and very much like a TV movie, but it still entertaining! I found it enjoyable!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
