Rise of the FootSoldier is based on the true life story of Carlton Leach (Ricci Harnett), from his teens growing up in a violent world of football hooliganism in the seventies which he becomes so involved in he becomes deeply involved in the Inter City Firm.
He then becomes a nightclub bouncer, after being hit in the head with an axe at a football fight, his life still involves violence, drugs and criminal activity. He becomes one of the most feared and dangerous criminals around, and eventually becomes involved with other gangsters including the Turkish Mafia. The story ends at the Rettendon Range Rover murders in 1995. Rise of the FootSoldier is a good movie, another of the violent gang style movies I like :) I enjoyed this, but then again it was written in stone that I would. Recommended!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
