In Beerfest, after the death of their German grandfather (Donald Sutherland), Jan (Paul Soter) and Todd (Erik Stolhanske) Wolfhouse travel to Munich to scatter his ashes. Its Oktoberfest, but the brothers aren't there long before they embarrass themselves and then find themselves hiding out at Beerfest, an underground annual international beer-guzzling competition!
When they compete, they are disgraced by their German cousins, the Von Wolfhausens, who claim the Wolfhouses late grandfather stole their beer recipe many years ago. Jan and Todd return home to train for next years Beerfest, bringing a few old college pals into their team, male prostitute Barry (Jay Chandrasekhar), burly Landfill (Kevin Heffernan), and science nerd Fink (Steve Lemme).
If you laugh at exaggerated German accents, belching, farting, bare breasts, drinking so much beer it will kill you, and doing lewd things with a sausage, you'll find this hilarious, as I did! I'll give Beerfest a high score as I laughed and laughed, this is so much better than many of the comedies about!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
