In Land of the Dead, the world has changed and for those who can afford it, they live in the expensive, high security Fiddlers Green, but the poor still hide in the shadows from zombies, whose numbers grow grow ever larger, and they are beginning to acquiring a hint of conscious thought too, and are still threatening all living humans with their insatiable hunger for human flesh.
Opportunists thrive, like the powerful and manipulative Paul Kaufman (Dennis Hopper) who runs Fiddlers Green, he uses mercenaries like Riley Denbo (Simon Baker) and Cholo DeMora (John Leguizamo) to acquire goods for the residents. Protected by their armoured vehicle, Dead Reckoning, they run the risks among the walking dead. When they both decide to quit, Cholo steals Dead Reckoning and tries to extort millions of dollars from Kaufman, who in turn looks to Riley to eliminate the threat. Meanwhile, the dead are heading for Fiddlers Green, and it seems they have a plan.
Land of the Dead is another instalment in the George A Romero movie series, and is another hit! Scary, exciting and a great story too! Recommended if your into horror movies!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
