In Queen of the Damned, the vampire Lestat (Stuart Townsend) rises from more then a centurys slumber to became a rock star, but his music makes the 6000-year old vampire Queen Akasha (Aaliyah) awaken, plus it draws attention to other vampires among us. Wanting revenge on humans and vampires, she hopes to rule the Earth with Lestat at her side.
Meanwhile a young vampire hunter, Jesse Reeves (Marguerite Moreau), becomes interested in the vampires, only to find the truth about her origins. It all comes to a big finale in Death Valley, at one of Lestats gigs!
I heard this movie really sucked. Even though it was the only film Aaliyah ever did (she was murdered); and Paul McGann (the 8th Doctor) is in it. I might watch it just for that. However, I did the read the book and I dunno, I hate getting my memory ruined. The trailer looks pretty hokie...
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
