In The Score, Nick Wells (Robert De Nero) wants to retire from a life of crime and settle down with his girlfriend, Diane (Angela Bassett) , and spend his time running his Montreal jazz club. But Max (Marlon Brando), his fence, friend and financial partner, has other plans!
Persuading Nick to violate two of his rules, always work alone and never in the city where you live, Max teams up with Jack Teller (Edward Norton), a young aggressive, talented thief. Jack needs Nicks safe-cracking talents to make his first big score, which is locked in Montreals Custom House! Egos clash and sparks fly, plus there is the obligatory double-cross!
The Score is a great caper movie, really enjoyable and one I hadn't heard of! Recommended!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
