Little do the know they are going to be sacrificed by a cult called The Shadows, lead by Minister Seth (Patrick Bergen),but while running away they meet the injured Fawn (Elena Lyons). Will they save Fawn and all get back to civilisation?
Hmm, Devils Prey features the most laughable cult ever, anyone could beat them, whats more the rave is little more then a disco in a barn! This movie has some OK parts, but overall its let down by too much stupidity!

Traffic is made from 3 story-lines, woven together by the common theme of the war on drugs. It shows drug dealers, buyers, and those who work to stop the trade in drugs.
It all starts off in Mexico, then moves to San Diego, we meet police who are selling drugs, and dealers who work for the police and Robert Wakefield (Michael Douglas), the new American drug czar whose daughter is a Heroin user. Helena Ayala (Catherine Zeta-Jones), is a society matron who finds her husbands fortune comes from selling drugs, and decides the only way to preserve her lifestyle is to join him.
Traffic is a pretty good movie, a tiny bit slow in places but otherwise good!

In House Of The Dead II Dead Aim, a growing zombie infection overtakes a university campus. Hoping to stop the spread of the infection and end the zombie plague, a secret government agency is sent in to find the original zombie, from who the infection started, to create an antidote.
Operatives Alexandra Nightingale Morgan (Emmanuelle Vaugier) and Jake Ellis (Ed Quinn) find the entire university campus has been overrun, immersed in a zombie battle, Nightengale and Ellis discover some of their fellow agents have their own plans for the zombie DNA!
House Of The Dead II Dead Aim is far better then its prequel, but is still lacking in places, the zombies aren't as scary as Romeros, and there is some plot silliness too :) Not too bad though.

In Born On The Fourth Of July, is based on a true story, it follows Ron Kovic (Tom Cruise) from his days as a zealous teen who eagerly volunteered for the Vietnam War, to help defeat the Communist threat, to his life as an embittered veteran paralysed from the chest down. Deeply in love with his country, Kovic returned to an environment vastly different from the one he left, and struggled before emerging as a brave new voice for the disenchanted.
Born On The Fourth Of July is a good movie and anyone thinking of joining the armed forces needs to watch it, a little slow occasionally though! Recommended!

In See No Evil, reclusive psychopath Jacob Goodnight (Glenn Kane Jacobs) is a 7 feet tall, 400 pound maniac, with a hole in his skull and razor-sharp fingernails that pluck out his victims eyes. He is holed up in the long-abandoned and rotting Blackwell Hotel, alone with his nightmares, until 8 petty criminals show up to renovate the hotel, for community service, along with Frank Williams (Steven Vidler), the cop who put the bullet hole in Jacobs head 4 years ago.
When one of their own is kidnapped by the killer and with her fate uncertain, the remaining lawbreakers must fight this indestructible force of nature who has a violent score to settle, but does this run deeper than it appears? Why is Goodnight there? See No Evil is basically a slasher movie, but its not too bad, I've certainly seen a lot worse. I did work out who was behind it all about 30 minutes into the film though. Still not too bad!

Windtalkers is set in 1942, when several hundred Navajo Americans were recruited as Marines, and trained to use their language as a secret code. Marine Joe Enders (Nicolas Cage) is assigned to protect Ben Yahzee (Adam Beach), a Navajo code talker. Enders orders are to protect the code above the talker, so Yahzee must be protected, but if he is to falls into enemy hands, Enders must kill the man who is to become his friend.
Against the backdrop of the horrific Battle of Saipan, when capture is imminent, Enders is forced to make a decision, if he can't protect his fellow Marine, can he bring himself to kill Yahzee to protect the code?
I'm not a fan of war films, even though Apocalypse Now is one of my all-time favourite moves, so I was hesitant towards buying Windtalkers, but the price tag influenced me :) And all I can say is what a great story, Cage is great as always, Recommended!

In The Hills Have Eyes Part 2, a group of bikers, including some of the survivors from the original film, embark on a journey to test a new kind of bike fuel in the desert, and park close to the location of the incidents from the first movie.
Some of the group are attacked by survivors from the first move, and its all very predictable from here!
The Hills Have Eyes Part 2 features something I really didn't like, 5+ minutes of clips, showing events from the first movie, that are pretty pointless - yawn! Overall the last 15 minutes weren't so bad, the rest was pretty dull
The Lisbon family are shattered when Cecilia falls into deep depression and attempts suicide, then shattered further when she does it again and succeeds. But after attending a school dance, Lux is seduced then abandoned. The Lisbons pull their daughters out of school, as an emotionally frayed Mother keeps close watch over them.
The Virgin Suicides is an odd movie, probably more a chic-flic than something I should watch, but I bought it because I have the soundtrack album by Air, which I find amazing! This movie tells you the outcome of the film right at the beginning, then shows you how they got there, very odd! Then again the soundtrack album also tells you the plot of the movie, so I suggest you play this and skip The Virgin Suicides totally! Its OK I suppose, but as I said, odd!

Final Fantasy The Spirits Within is a photo realistic computer animated movie, based on the computer game series of the same name, which I despised! Set in the year 2065, Earth has been taken over by a race of alien phantoms and transformed into a barren wasteland, sprinkled with dome-enclosed barrier cities, the last bastions of human civilization. Dr Aki Ross (voiced by Ming-Na) has teamed up with Captain Gray Edwards (Alec Baldwin) to search for the 7th and 8th spirits, powerful entities dwelling in an unknown lifeform somewhere on the planet.
They hold the key to perfecting a system of energy waves that will neutralize the phantoms, but the reckless General Hein (James Woods), who is determined to put a stop to the alien invasion by firing a satellite cannon directly into a nest of phantoms located deep within the Earth, even though this could mean obliterating the planet and all life upon it!
Final Fantasy The Spirits Within is without doubt a well made movie, I found it a bit slow though, and I know Final Fantasy purists have different issues with it!

In Rat, Hubert Flynn (Pete Postlethwaite), is a Dublin bread delivery man who loves a pint of Guinness, a bet on the horses and his wife Conchita - in that order. So when he comes home late from the pub one evening and changes into a rat, Conchita is slow to forgive.
Conchita (Imelda Staunton), at first resists her families plans for Hubert, but when a ghost-writer knocks on the door and proposes to put their story in a book and then a film of the book, and a book of the film, with riches beyond her dreams, she is tempted, setting the stage for a series of bizarre and comical adventures for Hubert the rat and his family.
Rat sounds like a Disney movie, its not, it is pretty funny and I do find Postlethwaite normally very good, but I found Rat somewhat lacking, its OK if your at a loose end though.
Jim Davidson presents his trademark brand of adult humour, there are sizzling and saucy tales, sure to bring the house down! Jim is one of Britains greatest older comedians, doing what he does better than anyone else, and no room for political correctness!
Jim Davidson The Devil Rides Out Live is pretty funny, even though I don't agree with a lot of the politics Jim supports, which bleed over into his routines! Recommended.

In Evil Aliens, Scalleum, is a remote farming island off the north coast of Wales, only accessible at low tide via a causeway know as the Devils Spine which is also home to an ancient stone circle known as the Devils Teeth! Weird Worlde, a cable TV program is having serious problems with its ratings, so presenter Michelle Fox (Emily Booth) puts together a team to investigate the Scalleum Incident!
Cat Williams (Jennifer Evans) claims to not only to have been abducted by aliens, but also impregnated by them, the cynical TV crew accompanied by the actors to re-stage a dramatic construction, along with UFO expert Gavin Gorman (Jamie Honeybourne) head for the island, and experience the weirdness of this remote community - which incliude a farm powered by manure and some very twisted Welsh farmers who hate the English. Of course the TV crew doesn't believe a word of Cats story, but Michelle will do anything to save her job, even if she has to fake the evidence, but will she?
Evil Aliens was one of those DVDs I had to question my sanity after buying it, it looked terrible, but its a great movie! It is gory, but is also very funny with a good story too!

In Transporter 2, Frank Martin (Jason Statham), a professional driver and mercenary is now living in Miami, where he is filling in for a friend as the chauffeur, for a government narcotics control policy-maker and his family.
When the young boy of the family is kidnapped and Frank is implicated, its time to hit the road and save his professional reputation, by outwitting the pursuing cops and exposing the kidnappers, using any and all methods at his disposal!
Transporter 2 is better than The Transporter, which is also a pretty good movie, so a superior sequel! I'm really looking forward to seeing part 3!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
