In The Postman, its 2013, amidst the desolation of a decimated, post-apocalypse USA, rogue groups of armed men prey on individuals. The largest of these, the Holnists, led by General Bethlehem (Will Patton), seek to rule the country. They capture an unnamed drifter (Kevin Costner), who escapes at his first chance then stumbles upon an abandoned mail Jeep.
He begins delivering its letters, starting to restore hope and inspire revolution in people. Soon others are joining him in becoming Postmen, which will result in an ultimate showdown with the Holnists!
The Postman is a much better movie then it sounds, the overall plot is silly if you think about it, but the movie works, so it is thoroughly recommended!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
