Biker Boyz is the story of unbeaten racer Manuel Smoke Galloway (Laurence Fishburne), the King of Cali and president of the underground motorcycle club The Black Knights. The members are all African-American, generally white-collar workers, who go into the streets in their leather gear and motorcycle helmets to race by night, playing at being bikers.
They are going to the annual drag-racing event in Fresno, and Smokes reign is about to be challenged by a young talented racer called Kid (Derek Luke), who starts his own club, The Biker Boyz. Kid intends to challenge Smoke and gain both his crown and respect.
After a few minutes of Biker Boyz you realise outlaw bikers it isn't, with heavily choreographed getting off the bike and casual dance routines, these guys would all die if they saw a Hells Angel! It promises a lot but doesn't deliver! Not a bad movie in its own right, but outlaw bikers it isn't!
I collect DVDs, we have over 3,000 titles in the house now! I buy most from Car Boot Sales,Poundshops, markets, sales, and greatly reduced from the internet, but I only buy what I want to watch! I do a short report when I watch them, I got rid of almost 800 titles at Christmas 2010 (low score, duplicates, ones I'd never watch etc.) I continue to wade through them, and appear to be buying slightly less, but still watching like mad :)
