In Insomnia, two LAPD detectives are sent to an Alaskan town to aid the investigation of the murder of a teenager, but find themselves under the glare of the regions continual daylight! While closing in on the murderer, veteran officer Will Dormers (Al Pacino) partner is accidentally shot and killed by Dormer, and the jaded cop is compromised by the calculated mind games of the suspect, a reclusive writer, Walter Finch (Robin Williams).
Sleep-deprived and guilt-ridden over his role in his partners death, Dormer must outmanoeuvre an idealistic local cop (Hilary Swank), a twisted killer and the Midnight Sun!
Insomnia is a very good detective thriller, and recommended viewing, Williams is very good as a murderer too!
